Lawrence is a media engineer who is inspired by creating simple and elegant components for revealing the subtle aspects of our world through maps, data, audio, video, and images. His work encompasses two main areas:

• Designing and building data-driven software applications for use in websites and other platforms.
• Audio engineering including sound design, mixing, and editing for various media such as film, websites, and audio books.

Lawrence enjoys working with people to design the most effective means of access and presentation for a particular set of information and audience. Comfortable with different technologies, Lawrence continually strives to expand his suite of knowledge. His current favorite tools are Flash, digital map technologies such as Google, Virtual Earth, ESRI's ArcGIS Server, and Pro Tools.

Lawrence is also a sound artist who creates compelling soundscapes using field recordings and experimental sounds.
